Microsoft’s 64GB Surface Pro tablet will offer just 23GB of free storage, with its Windows 8 install, built-in apps and recovery partition taking up a 41GB of space.
The 128GB model will have 83GB free for users – though this can be increased using the device’s USB 3.0 and microSDXC card options.
As a competitor for Apple’s iPad, gaming will come into equation for many Surface users, but with a relatively small amount of memory available potential users could look to rivals – the Razer Edge or Nvidia’s Project Shield, for example.
