Emergency maintenance will see a number of Nintendo Network services come to a halt today (Monday, January 28) in the US.

Whilst no reason has been given for said maintenance, the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and 3DS platforms, Wii Shopping Channel and Nintendo DSi Shop will be hit by the service downtime.

Nintendo DS network services for Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 will also be affected, along with matchmaking and ranking for Wii U title Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper.
