Plans to release a new Battlefield title next year have been confirmed by EA labels president Frank Gibeau.

Developer DICE says a modern setting will remain for Battlefield 4 – confirmed last year – with further details set to be unveiled within the next three months.

Speaking in the latest EA fiscal call, Gibeau also said the publisher is “not announcing an annualisation of Battlefield at this time,” despite its Medal of Honor series being taken out of circulation following the poor performance of October release Warfighter. It does, however, still plan to release some sort of AAA shooter offering each year.
