Saints Row IV has today been unveiled by new series publisher Deep Silver, with the Volition title set to arrive on August 20 in North America and August 23 worldwide.

Featuring elements of the cancelled Saints Row III: Enter the Dominatrix DLC, the next instalment sees the head of the Third Street Saints elected US President as an alien force invades Earth.

Using “gargantuan superpowers” against the army of alien leader Zinyak, players will attempt to free humanity.

The game is confirmed for release on current-gen consoles and PC – though a Wii U version is already thought to have been ruled out. Check out an announcement trailer, as well as the very first screenshots below.
