The 19-year-old, who was engaged and, according to her fiancé, pregnant was hoping to launch a modelling career when she was hit by a train operated by the freight company, Union Pacific.

Thompson was also engaged to her 25-year-old boyfriend, Darnell Chatman. "I believe she would want everyone to know what a kind and caring person she is". He remembered the 19-year-old as a loving partner and a devoted stepmother to his 7-year-old son.

Despite being rushed to hospital she died soon afterwards.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday morning at the Brosig Auditorium in Navasota.

Friends set up a GoFundMe page in her memory hoping to raise money for her funeral.
