On Saturday, the Royals will meet two survivors of the Paris attacks.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge pose near the Eiffel Tower in Paris on March 18, 2017.

Upon arriving, they were greeted by French President François Hollande at the Élysée Palace.

Britain's Prince William is taking flak for going on a ski holiday instead of attending a major royal engagement with his family.

The young royals also attended an event involving children and teens from France and the United Kingdom, met with school children from the British Council's Somme project and with French rugby fans.

The two-day visit is Prince William's first official trip to the French capital since the tragic death of his mother Diana, the Princess of Wales, in a vehicle accident at the Pont de l'Alma tunnel two decades ago.

William and Kate attended a series of events to honor and celebrate the French for their resilience in the wake of the Paris and Nice terrorist attacks and to celebrate French arts and culture. A section of the media opined that the most-loved couple was looking uncomfortable in each other's company and the body language too was not pleasing.

Kate has yet to make an official trip to Germany and the couple have not toured Poland yet on behalf of the government, BBC News reported.

For the reception at British ambassador's residence in Paris, Kate opted for a black, belted Alexander Mcqueen gown with frayed edges.

Acclaimed actress Kristin Scott Thomas is expected to attend, along with French actors Jean Reno and Audrey Tautou and former Arsenal footballer Robert Pires.

Kate Middleton dazzled in a metallic dress by Jenny Packham for the evening event, and was accompanied by husband Prince William in a tuxedo.
