Possible real reason why Floyd Mayweather wants to now fight Conor McGregor

McGregor's compatriot and friend Michael Conlan has added further weight to the claims about the fight happening when he confirmed the UFC star has held talks about the bout with Mayweather's representatives. Conor was good for a UFC fighter and it might go a few rounds because of his toughness but he thinks Floyd will stop him.

The report notes, however, that this does not mean the fight is finalized.

Bisping said on his podcast, according to FOX Sports: "I was talking to someone in Las Vegas and I heard that Floyd recently got scammed out of a lot of money. Let's get it on in June".

So a week after publically calling McGregor out to sign a contract, he has reportedly requested a major venue in Las Vegas.

White allegedly spoke to TMZ on Tuesday, stating that the "Billion Dollar Fight" between one of the boxing's greatest luminaries and the UFC's prized asset is "nowhere near being done".

The quote above kind of suggests that an offer does exist and it can include the UFC.

Mayweather is undefeated in 49 fights, while McGregor has notched up 21 victories, with just three defeats along the way.

If a deal is struck, most surmise it would absolutely have to include the UFC.

"We do not have time to lose, we'll do this shit soon, in June".

Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor could potentially break the all-time record for pay-per-view sales set by the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

Floyd isn't simply throwing McGregor's name around to troll the media and fans, this is a fight Mayweather wants.

"Both guys stand to make a s***-tonne of money out of it".
