Newark Mayor Ras Baraka identified the boy shot at a fatally shot by another child the weekend is Josiah Coleman.

The shooting occurred around 1:25 a.m. Saturday inside a multifamily home in the 800 block of South 19th Street. Baraka said the shooter was an 11-year-old boy. Baraka said in the statement. It has also not been revealed how the 11-year-old gained access to the gun.

Baraka has frequently before called for stricter gun control, including after other deaths in his city - such as in the case of a family in which all three sons died from gunshots over five years. We need strong national gun control.
