Layton's Mystery Journey Headed West On iOS, Android In July

Time to dust off your top hat and tune up your puzzle-solving skills, because Professor Layton is finally returning after a rather long layoff.

Originally titled Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone's Conspiracy, this title will see a 4,800 yen price point on 3DS and a 1,900 yen equivalent on iOS and Android. Note that this release date also applies to the 3DS version of the game, but the 3DS version will be launched in Japan first. Level-5 promises you can play through the latest Layton without purchasing any microtransactions, but those who want to keep things purely traditional may want to hold out for the 3DS version.

We recently got a look at a new trailer for Lady Layton, which is now known as Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire's Conspiracy, and Level-5 provided more info on the game's release for both versions. The game will be released witheight language options: Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Korean, according to Gematsu.

Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaire's Conspiracy arrives on iOS and Android on July 20.

The iOS and Android versions will cost 1,900 Yen (around United States dollars $17), and is said to have in-app purchases.

It should be stated that Layton's Mystery Journey absolutely does not require in-app purchases to reach the ending of the game, nor are items required for you to overcome certain challenges. Will you be playing on mobile or waiting for the 3DS release?
