A video posted by blogger MarcianoTech, in which he uses a pre-release version of the S8, shows the phone being unlocked using a photo (at the 1:09 mark). And while Samsung and Qualcomm did an awesome job at building brand new chips that are more powerful and more energy-efficient than ever, iPhones still mop the floor with the Galaxy S8 when it comes to the most important area of performance.

Meanwhile, we are also not a fan of Samsung's decision to put the fingerprint scanner at the back just beside the camera sensor. You'll be able to attach a monitor, keyboard and a mouse, but you'll still be using Android apps. For the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung allowed its suppliers to do the testing, but in an effort to prevent a repeat, it's largely handling testing itself.

Both the handsets will boast 4GB of RAM and come with 64GB inbuilt storage while also supporting expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB).

This year, Sammy opted to do away with the home button, moving the fingerprint scanner to the rear of the phone and adding an iris scanner to the front. With the recently unveiled installment in its flagship series, the Galaxy S8, so far, tech junkies seem to be impressed. You have to use a dongle if you want to plug in your wired headphones. As for other carriers, you'll need to pay $750 for the S8 and $850 for the S8 Plus.

As you can see, the rumored Galaxy S8 Mini is not exactly a mid-range smartphone, and yet the source claims that it will cost $399 and launch in competitive markets. You can only mirror your iPhone screen on an external display.

Apart from providing users with improved connectivity and performance, the Galaxy will also have a "Bluetooth Dual audio" feature.
