So that's how he does it.

The 59-year-old appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday April 18 and described how he is more popular than ever thanks to his infamous impersonation on comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live (SNL) of President Donald Trump. "People will walk up to me and I'll, we'll be putting Carmen [his youngest daughter] in her little stroller and someone will walk by very quietly and go 'Thank you, thank you, oh my God, thank you.' They are always thanking me for the Trump thing". Still, people love it. Baldwin shared that strangers always stop to thank him for his Trump impression while he is out and about in NY, to the point that it's "eerie".

"Left eyebrow up, right eyebrow down".

Despite his varied acting resume, Baldwin said he's earned more fan praise for his Trump impression than any other role.

Nixon impressions came out as both Colbert and Baldwin impersonated the impeached president.

After that, Baldwin and Colbert joined forces for "a hilarious instalment of "Too Much Exposition Theatre", in which the duo crammed an entire play worth of backstory and plot development into four minutes of overstuffed dialogue", reports Rolling Stone. "You just pick a few things". "It goes competency, incompetency, competency", said Colbert.
