Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has bemoaned his side's poor luck with injuries during the current Premier League campaign.

That was contradicted less than a day later when ESPN FC said Liverpool had absolutely no interest in the 30-year-old, believing their own goalkeepers, Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, to be better.

Danny Ward is set to further the competition in that department after returning from his temporary spell at Huddersfield.

Klopp said: "Look at the injuries we've had, not a lot of muscle injuries which is a sign of intensity".

Is it about Joe Hart? Asked whether he intended strengthening his options between the posts in the summer, Klopp said: 'We don't usually talk about these sort of things but in this particular case I think we can.

Joe Hart could be set to play for a Premier League team once again next season with reports claiming that the England worldwide is set to join Liverpool in the summer.

He added:;'He's a fantastic keeper, the highest quality, but it's not for us at the moment, nor in the future'.

Liverpool have major concerns in defence ahead of the match, with Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Lucas Leiva doubtful to feature against Palace because of injury. "He is already not patient".

"What I can say is that we really need all our passion in a situation like this".

Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce: "We're in Champions League form for picking points up, which should give us a huge amount of confidence on Sunday".

It doesn't seem like good news at the moment but we're still hanging on to the small chance that he will be able to play.

Crystal Palace will be without on-loan defender Mamadou Sakho, who is ineligible to face his parent club. It feels like we last played here eight weeks ago or something, but it was only two or three weeks.

"He is a very strong boy with good tackles and blocks so having a player like him in the team is very good".

Liverpool are unbeaten in their 12 games against the top seven teams in English football, with the 26-point haul they have collected from those games suggesting they have blown their chance to win a first league title since 1990. "I'm not sure what monitoring means - if we watch it and think about it, all that stuff, then yes".
