Carlson and Jenner's exchange was civil and featured some helpful (if basic) explanations of the differences between gender and sexuality- but was hardly revolutionary, as she took to the network to promote her memoir The Secrets of My Life and defended her decision to vote for Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

Jenner reminded Tucker that she was never outwardly supportive of Donald Trump's candidacy-the media did that for her-but she did say that she veers towards the conservative side.

Fox News is moving on from the ousted Bill O'Reilly in a big way, by having time slot replacement Tucker Carlson's first interview on April 24 be with ratings goldmine Caitlyn Jenner. "I believe in limited government and in our Constitution".

"I thought Trump would be pretty good", Caitlyn said, "but he's disappointed me in the first 100 days on those issues".

Jenner said that she's not a one-issue voter and thinks it would be much easier to try and push the GOP to be better on LGBT issues than to try and push the Democrats to do things like lower taxes. My loyalties do not lie with the Republican Party.

Still, the Trump administration has not left the transgender activist happy. "My loyalties and what I'm fighting for is my community, the LGBT community, the trans issues that are out there".

Specifically, Jenner criticized the Trump administration for revoking the Obama administration's guidelines allowing transgender public-school students to use locker rooms and bathrooms that conform to their "gender identity" (i.e., whatever sex they identify with) - whether or not it's the sex of their birth.

After the discussion turned to prosecuting the murders of trans women as hate crimes, Jenner argued, "Right now, we've got", - that I'm really concerned with, kind of the next move for the Trump administration is Mark Green, who's a Republican from Tennessee, senator, and he's up for secretary of the Army. Mark Green, whose anti-LGBT comments have been unearthed.
