For a game we've heard nearly nothing about in terms of gameplay details or mechanics, Starbreeze felt the need to announce that Overkill Software's The Walking Dead game will be delayed from whenever it was supposed to launch, into the latter half of 2018.

According to the studio, the team has chose to extend the production of the game to ensure that it reaches its full potential. Overkill's The Walking Dead is based on based on AMC's hit show and the comic books of the same name, originally written by Robert Kirkman. Now publishing arm Starbreeze Studios announced the project has been delayed by a year from its original 2H 2017 launch to 2H 2018-which could be anywhere from July to December 2018.

However, those after more information on the game in general are in with a bit of good news.

Additionally, the studio has announced Starstream by Starbreeze, an exclusive live-streamed event taking place on 10th May. There will also be a "Veterans of the Industry" panel featuring Warren Spector, Tim Schafer, and Bo Andersson, along with giveaways and other chances for the community to get involved. If the game from Overkill doesn't release until late 2018, fans should still be starving for a great game based in the zombie apocalypse that everyone can enjoy.
