Atletico coach Diego Simeone went as far as to say that coming back from 3-0 down to holders Real Madrid in their derby at home would be "impossible" for other teams - but not his. "I have known them for the last five-and-a-half years and I have no doubt that tomorrow they will make a great game.We know what we're capable of".

Preparations for the game were rocked on Monday by the news that French left back Theo Hernandez, who is on loan at Alaves from Atletico, travelled to Madrid to undergo a medical with Real Madrid.

Atletico's 51-year-old stadium will close in the summer when Diego Simeone's side moves to their new 67,000 capacity Wanda Metropolitano stadium in the north of the Spanish capital. "We have to remain focused and give our soul to qualify for the final". Things from the outside don't interest me. We have a great result behind us, but we're going to give everything.

"I think we've done a very good job until now, but we've got to prove ourselves again, against Atletico, then on Sunday [at home to Sevilla in LaLiga], and then the next week too".

"After eight or nine months the players have worked with incredible professionalism, but we have to keep showing that every three days". It means we are doing well.

Zidane confirmed Pepe and Raphael Varane had returned to training, but remained coy on whether the defensive duo would feature in the matchday squad.

Before the semi-final opponents in the Champions League for Ronaldo and company performed "Napoli", won with a total score of 6: 2, and "Bavaria" which after the exchange away win 2: 1 had to play extra time, where "Real" scored three more goals. They took us flying along with them.

And the hosts had an explosive start to the game, scoring two goals within the first 20 minutes to change the complexion of a tie that had looked finished.

Simeone sees no reason to believe his squad can not pull off an unlikely result.

"We know what we're capable of".

Real are on the verge of completing one of the most glorious season in the club's decorated history.

"We believe in ourselves and our weapons. From the first minute, we will be clear in our game plan".

"I'm happy to reach two consecutive finals".
