"I thought my congressman. put me in a really bad situation as the constituent, and used his name, used his position, and used his stationery to try to punish me", she said.

Conway worked for a super PAC that supported Ted Cruz before joining Trump, and had criticized him as having, "built his businesses on the backs of the little guy". "Needless to say, that did cause some issues at work that were hard to overcome", she said. "Because she disliked her candidate so much".

"This is a woman, by the way, who came on our show during the campaign and would shill for Trump in extensive fashion", Brzezinski said.

In March, the hosts banned Conway from "Morning Joe", saying that the senior Trump aide was untrustworthy after she repeatedly made misleading or inaccurate statements to the press. "I guess she's just used to it now", she opined.

Scarborough agreed, jumping in to claim that he did not think Conway took her time as campaign manager as a serious ideological commitment.

Brzezinski chimed in, saying Conway would tell them, "I'm just doing this for the money".

Joe chimed in, "And also said, it was very interesting, also said that, 'This is just, like, my summer in Europe.' " And then Mika again, quoting Conway: "I'm just doing this for the money".

The two continued dishing on Conway's alleged transgressions against then-Republican presidential nominee Trump, whose Access Hollywood tape scandal apparently reshaped how she imagined her role in the campaign to be.

Conway, a long-time political operative for the Republican Party, has received significant flack ever since she began working for the Trump campaign a year ago and has become fodder not only for the media, but for the entertainment world, as well.

Conway didn't respond to a request for comment.
