McCarthy spikes Spicer on SNL, wild week at the White House

Aidy Bryant takes to the White House Press Room podium as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, with an accent straight out of the Bible belt, filling in for the on-leave Spicer.

"I'm pretty sure I can see him hiding in those bushes?" one confused reporter said, as Spicer was peering through the windows into the press conference. When another agreed that she was better at the job, Spicey jumped out, took a fire extinguisher to his trousers, and chanted "liar, liar, trousers on fire".

The incredulous press corps doesn't buy Spicer's rational, and go on to ask him if his job might be the next position on the chopping block. "Liar, liar, trousers on fire!"

"I have a wife, I took vows", McCarthy's Spicer answers. "That's right, Spicey's back - Sarah's out!"

Cut to Spicey deep in Manhattan traffic - and, spolier alert, he's a road rager - slowly traveling past 55th Street to the revolving doors of Trump Tower. "He's my friend", a genuinely confused Mr Spicer responded.

"Let me just put this whole Russian thing to bed once and for all, Trump is innocent", McCarthy's press secretary said.

We're not sure what will come first - Trump sending out a tweet about the SNL sketch or Spicer getting axed as Press Secretary. "Because he told us so, period".

After a few trademark violent "Spicy" outbursts, the press secretary took up the defense of President Donald Trump against accusations that he fired FBI Director James Comey in an effort to obstruct the investigation into Trump's ties to Russian Federation.

Blowing his top, Spicer ripped down a support column and hurled it at the reporter.

To find out, McCarthy's dismayed Spicer took his moving lectern to the streets of NY to speak with Trump.

The skit culminates in Spicer tracking President Trump (Alec Baldwin) down at a golf course to talk to him.

"Only since you started working here", Trump explained.

When pressed if Trump is lying to him, Spicer insists "he wouldn't do that, he's my friend".
