Metal Gear Solid 2's Solidus Snake VO Passes Away

According toThe Hollywood Reporter, Cygan had always been battling cancer.

As per Metal Gear Informer, John Cygan who was famous for being the voice actor of Solidus Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty passed away on May 13th. Chiklis posted a photo of him and John Cygan and shared his thoughts on the loss of his beloved friend.

Later in his career, Cygan was primarily a voice actor, including characters in "Cars", "WALL-E", "Up", "Toy Story 3" and "Inside Out".

The Hollywood Reporter first reported Cygan's death, confirmed by his agent and also by longtime friend Michael Chiklis on Twitter.

Cygan also appeared on episodes of "Frasier", "The X-Files", "NYPD Blue", "The Shield" and "Modern Family". "I know this ... heaven just got a lot funnier".

He's got an iconic listing of roles in games, including Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (as Iron Man), Grand Theft Auto V, Final Fantasy XV, Mafia III and World of Warcraft: Legion, along with countless others.

Cygan is survived by his wife and two children. He'll always be known for the vast array of characters that he played and will continue to keep us forever entertained.
