With Golden State standing in front of San Antonio now, though, Leonard will be key to his team's success.

Smith floated the idea - jokingly, we think - that Rockets superstar James Harden looked like he was "drugged" Thursday night during Game 6 of Houston's second-round National Basketball Association playoff series against the Spurs, which San Antonio won 114-75 to punch its ticket to the Western Conference finals. Trevor Ariza paced Houston with 20 points, and Clint Capela had 15 points and 12 boards. The Houston Rockets? The memes making fun of them and James Harden for their terrible choke-job of an effort tell the story better than the numbers.

Harden was off from the get go and finished with just 10 points on 2 of 11 shooting to go along with his six turnovers.

Though Harden posted a tally of 28.5 points, 8.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds during 11 postseason games, he wasn't almost as efficient, making only 27 percent of his three-point shots.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday morning that the Spurs are optimistic of Leonard's ability to be ready for Sunday's game. They jumped to a seven point lead (31-24) in the opening quarter, and never looked back.

San Antonio shot 53 percent from the field, compiled a 60-37 rebounding advantage and limited Houston to 28 percent shooting.

Patty Mills, who once again started as point guard in place of the injured Tony Parker, scored 14 points before foul trouble made Gregg Popovich sit him. The Spurs are now consensus 10.5-point underdogs in Game 1 in Las Vegas sportsbooks.

The Spurs dominated Houston 62-18 in points in the paint and led by as many as 42 points in the blowout. "Four, five, six guys all had good games". Pau Gasol contributed a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, also dishing 5 assists in the Spurs cause.

The Warriors in the regular season posted a 67-15 record to earn the No. 1 overall seed, while the Spurs (61-21) nabbed the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.
