Longtime Clinton Aide Shares Video Of Debate Prep For 'Unwanted Trump Hug'

After Trump's win, it was revealed that Reines had the honor of playing him in debate prep, a duty that he took so seriously he stopped taking his meds.

"Not easy to avoid the unwanted Trump hug, sometimes it even takes practice", tweeted Reines on Friday, accompanied by a video. Interestingly enough, Reines portrayed Trump as grabby prior to the release of the "Access Hollywood" tape. But, hey, at least they had a moment of fun before a devastating loss.

The narrative during the debates was that Clinton was the master preparer, endlessly doing mock debates and studying such that she might better school him on national television-and it worked!

Reines proceeds to wrap his arms around Clinton as she attempts to scamper away and laughter fills the room. "A favorite moment from debate prep (9/24/16)".

Such interference wouldn't have happened in George W. Bush's White House, Michael B. Mukasey, who served as attorney general under Bush and also as chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of NY, said at a panel discussion.

Reines' tweet appears to be a response to the Times' Comey story.

Most Americans would rather choose being deported over getting a hug from Donald Trump.

Comey said he "pre-emptively reached out for a handshake and grabbed the president's hand". "If you look at the video, it's one person shaking hands and another hugging".

One of those incidents was when Trump beckoned to Comey from across the room during a January meeting of law enforcement officials at the White House, calling him over while saying "Oh, and there's Jim". Trump joked that Comey has "become more famous than me".
