Warriors taking on Spurs

Leonard missed the rest of the game and Golden State's comeback, then he missed the Game 2 blowout loss and may miss Game 3.

In the summer of 2015, the San Antonio Spurs went shopping like they never have before. "Hopefully we can keep him for as much longer as he wants to play".

Game two was no contest for the Warriors. "Give all of our guys credit".

"It's a team game, so not that much", Aldridge said. Michael C. Wright of ESPN wrote about the Spurs troubles in Game 2, and quoted Aldridge on his poor performance.

That can be easier said than done, even for San Antonio's $20 million man. "Game 3's going to be tough for us".

GOLDMAN: Golden State led by 28, and the only potential drama left was what might San Antonio head coach Gregg Popovich say post-game.

Popovich insisted the series is over if his team do not get an attitude adjustment. You know, I don't understand it. "I'm disappointed. The only way I can process this is I think it's not about the O's and X's or rebounds or turnovers or anything like that".

“And you have to believe. I don't think as a group they really did, which means probably a little bit feeling sorry for themselves psychologically.

Warriors: Kerr attended his second game this series but again watched behind the scenes as he recovers from a May 5 procedure at Duke University to fix a spinal fluid leak. "That's how we feel".

Golden State outscored the Spurs 58-33 in the final quarter and a half after Leonard exited with an ankle injury in game one on Sunday and were ahead by an eerily similar 57-33 score with just under five minutes remaining before half-time at Oracle Arena on Tuesday. "All I care about is the next game, and we'll see how they come out". But at this point, smart money would expect Golden State to lead this series three games to none. He also found time for seven rebounds, a game-high seven assists and three steals in 31 minutes. Jonathan Simmons led the Spurs with 22.

"It's fun to watch".

Spurs forward David Lee said he talked to Leonard before practice, and center Pau Gasol said Leonard is working with the training staff to get treatment on his sprained ankle.

Against a team like Golden State, throwing the kitchen sink at him in the low block, life isn't as simple as "just go score".

This is essentially the team, after all, that has loved the chase, that was motivated by the chance to catch the 1995-96 Bulls at 72 wins and either tie or break the mark for the best regular season ever.

Curry meanwhile had nothing but praise for Warriors youngster McCaw, who filled in for the injured Andre Iguodala with 18 points. "So that was huge", Curry said of the Warriors, who had 39 assists on their 50 field goals, and shot 56.2 percent from the field. And then an SUV pulls up, and I hear them over the loud speaker: 'Hey, you, in the Range Rover, stop!

With the Warriors up 2-0 in the series, the Spurs must find a way to win the next two games in San Antonio to make it a series.

Davis Bertans finished with 13 points for the Spurs in the defeat.

"We can't necessarily play any worse than we did tonight", point guard Patty Mills said of the Spurs, who made only 37 per cent of their shots.
