Kim Kardashian was told by many to delete the photo, and while some understood why she shared a photo of Ariana Grande, whose concert venue was the target of the attack, others questioned her need to include herself in the photo.

Kim posted a tweet supporting Ariana, but instead got slammed by Twitterati, who called her "disgusting".

"Concerts are supposed to be a place where u can let loose and have fun. My heart goes out to @arianagrande I love you".

The mother of two later deleted the tweet with a photo and posted two tweets paying tributes to the victims of the Manchester attack. She told her 52.5m followers: "I can't imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids".

She wrote on Instagram: "I'm praying for everyone in Manchester."This is truly so senseless & heart breaking".

Kim posted a photograph of herself, Grande, Kendall Jenner, and model Hailey Baldwin as they enjoyed rapper Kanye West's concert in 2016. However, these images remain up on their social media accounts.

A third agreed, writing: "It is a literal tragedy and we are all praying but seriously Kim you are just posting a pic of yourself with Ariana barely in it and all faces are happy af and this is how you express your sadness?" Grande herself tweeted that she was "broken" in the wake of the tragedy.

Many of Kim's fans also came to her defense after the tweet, but the post's deletion proves that the reality star had become aware the tweet was offensive. The attack, which occurred on the evening of Monday, May 22, has taken several lives and injured many others, and it's left people all over the globe feeling every shade of devastation imaginable.
