Young girls confirmed dead in Manchester concert attack

An eight-year-old girl was among the 22 people killed by a suicide bomber after an Ariana Grande concert at the venue last night.

United Kingdom police have confirmed the attack to be an act of terror performed by one person, who died after detonating an explosive device. A 23-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in south Manchester in connection with the bombing.

A suspected terrorist attack struck Manchester, England Monday evening on the four year anniversary of the Jihadist murder of British soldier Lee Rigby in nearby Woolich, England.

"Unfortunately, what happened in Manchester was a lesson to the British intelligence services that without the help of other countries, their work will fail", said Viktor Ozerov, who heads Russia's Federation Council's Defense Committee. Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Theresa May has paid tribute to the victims and families of those involved in the attack. "She was in her 60s and said she had been with her family", he recalled, adding that he "hasn't stopped crying".

The headteacher of Tarleton Community Primary School said their pupil Saffie's death "has come as a tremendous shock to all of us".

When news Saffie-Rose was missing broke, social media swarmed to try and find her and connect her to her family.

"All of our students will gather together today for a time of prayer and reflection and to give thanks for the life of Georgina", the school said.

Monday's suspected terrorist attack comes exactly two months after 52-year old Islamic terrorist Khalid Masood rammed his vehicle into a number of pedestrians in Westminster in London, before trying to smash through the barricades at the Houses of Parliament.

Grande tweeted after the incident that she was "broken".

According to TMZ, Grande has chose to indefinitely suspend her world tour following the tragic event.

The Prime Minister said, "We are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack".
