"We will continue to have increased high-visibility police patrols across Warwickshire to provide community reassurance".

"It's very clear that this is a network we are investigating", Greater Manchester Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said on Wednesday. Ahmed Dagdoug, a spokesman for Libya's counterterrorism Reda Force, said his father and brother had been arrested.

The arrest was made following searches at an address in the town of Nuneaton in central England, and is the first outside the Manchester area.

"The man had a red bag and the police sealed off the whole area and moved the bag to the other side of the road", he said, adding that a man in forensic garb then examined it.

"A woman has been arrested at an address in connection with the investigation".

"Further update: Woman arrested in Blackley in connection with attack at Manchester Arena has been released without charge."

"These searches are connected to Monday's attack on the Manchester Arena".

"When arrested, the man was carrying a package which we are now assessing".

"I continue to urge the public to be vigilant, to remain alert but not alarmed and to report any suspicious activity to the police".

The perpetrator, named as 22-year-old Salman Abedi, was born and brought up in the south of Manchester, Britain's third city.

British police arrested a 23-year-old man, raided a property in southern Manchester and carried out a controlled explosion in another part of the city on Tuesday in a fast-moving investigation into a suicide bombing at a pop concert. This has not been confirmed by the police.
