Spike Lee is 0-for-1 as National Football League reporter

For a few hours on Saturday, it seemed as if being a free agent on the market was a thing of the past for Colin Kaepernick. When Kaepernick was first released by the San Francisco 49ers, Spike Lee lead a "Kaepernick to the Jets" campaign on social media.

Did Spike Lee break some news about Colin Kaepernick signing with the Seattle Seahawks, or did he jump the gun? Two and a half months after that post hit the airwaves, Lee is making headlines yet again. SB Nation went on to point out that Seattle Times writer Bob Condotta debunked the rumor, clarifying that Kaepernick merely visited with the Seahawks Thursday (May 25).

Kaepernick met with the Seahawks on Wednesday and is said to be completely fine with backing up quarterback Russell Wilson. Director Spike Lee, who is a friend of the quarterback reported otherwise in a now deleted Instagram post.
