"Regardless of what the President decides on the accord, we expect America's solar industry to continue to thrive and create jobs, boost the economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions", the Solar Energy Industries Association said in a statement.Shares of Tesla Inc (TSLA.O), which recently acquired SolarCity, were up 0.6 percent at $337.07.Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a Twitter post on Wednesday that he had done "all I can" to convince Trump to stay in the Paris accord, and threatened to leave White House advisory councils if Trump announces a USA exit.

Trump had waffled on his decision whether to keep the U.S. committed to the landmark 2015 agreement or fulfill his campaign promise to pull out.

The Republican vowed at the time to "cancel" the Paris deal within 100 days of becoming president on Jan 20, part of an effort to bolster United States oil and coal industries.

Finland's Prime Minister Juha Sipila said a U.S. withdrawal would be a big setback, adding that "we must find partners to continue, because this work must not stop".

Withdrawing would leave the United States aligned only with Russian Federation among the world's industrialized economies. Foreign allies have expressed disappointment in that action. And the final decision may not be entirely clear-cut: Aides were still deliberating on "caveats in the language", one official said. Trump is to meet Wednesday with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who believes the USA should stay in so it can keep its place at the global bargaining table.

Trump has already moved to dismantle Obama-era climate change regulations, including the U.S. Clean Power Plan aimed at reducing emissions from main coal-fired power plants.

It could have sweeping implications for the deal, which relies heavily on the commitment of big polluter nations to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. These include carbon dioxide generated from burning of fossil fuels that scientists blame for a warming planet, sea level rise, droughts and more frequent violent storms.

Trump on Wednesday declared that abandoning the Paris climate agreement would be a victory for the American economy.

A Tesla spokesperson declined to comment further on Musk's tweet.

But Cohn, Trump's chief White House economic adviser, told reporters during the trip overseas that the president's views on climate change were "evolving" following the discussions with European leaders.

Chelsea Clinton called it "vile and wrong". "It is never amusing to joke about killing a president", she wrote on Twitter. Other members of the Trump family, including the president, condemned the photo.

Even though they no longer sit in congress, the court said parliamentary leaders had not handled their case legally. Venezuela's UN envoy Rafael Ramirez in turn accused the United States of seeking to topple the Maduro government.

A USA decision to withdraw from the accord could further alienate American allies in Europe already wary of Trump and call into question U.S. leadership and trustworthiness on one of the world's leading issues. A pullout also would be one more step by the Republican president to erase the legacy of his predecessor, Democrat Barack Obama, who helped broker the accord and praised it during a trip to Europe this month.

The executive director of the Sierra Club is calling the expected US pullout from a global agreement on climate change a "historic mistake".

The Paris Agreement is an accord sponsored by the United Nations created to help slow global climate change.

The non-binding global agreement went into effect past year and calls for countries to set goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. "Part of what keeps us going is that America's word is good, and that you stand with your prior administration whether it was of your party or not", she said.

"I will be announcing my decision on the Paris Accord over the next few days", Trump tweeted Wednesday amid media reports that a withdrawal was looming.

Democratic US Senators Bob Menendez and Jack Reed wrote a letter urging Trump not to withdraw.

If President Trump does end up pulling out of the Paris climate accord, it seems Ivanka has failed to have a strong influence on his stance on climate change. That promise helped rally supporters sharing his skepticism of global efforts to police US carbon emissions.

The agreement itself includes pillars that involve American data, including material from NASA and other US federal departments, and if the USA walks away Vaughan said there will be gaps to fill. "Mr. Trump believes that because he doesn't know the details".
