Stepfather asphyxiated girl found dead near Arizona road

According to Tucson PD Sgt. Pete Dugan, Jayden Glomb's stepfather Josh Lelevier has been arrested and faces first-degree murder charges in her death.

The suspicious death of 13-year-old Jayden Glomb has been ruled a homicide by authorities.

Police have questioned a suspect and a search warrant was served Wednesday.

A passer-by found the girl's body dumped alongside a road in Vail near Tucson on May 11, a day after she was reported missing.

Dugan said there does not appear to be more suspects, but they can not rule anything out yet.

The Vail School District, where Jayden was a student at Old Vail Middle School, released a statement in the wake of her death. He said the arrest was made after detectives gathered enough probable cause, without going into details.

The TPD said Glomb was not killed where her body was found and the investigation is ongoing. Our hearts go out to Jayden's mother and siblings. "We appreciate the love and compassion of everyone who has surrounded Joshua and Jessica Lelevier, Robert Glomb, and their families following the loss of their daughter".
