Moto Z2 Play Launched With Thinner Design

Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched its much-awaited Moto Z2 Play smartphone in the US. The power button and volume rocker can be found on the right edge of the device.

The Moto S2 Play features a 12-megapixel dual-autofocus rear camera with f/1.7 aperture plus a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie snapper complete with flash on the front.

3GB or 4GB of RAM along with an option of 32GB or 64GB of storage, which is expandable with a microSD card. On the front, there is a 5MP camera with an LED flash and an aperture of f/2.2.

Jumping straight to the specifications, the Moto Z2 Play comes loaded with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels coupled with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 401 ppi. The Moto Z Play also features a fingerprint scanner, and connectivity options like dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi and USB Type-C port. And just like the original Z Play, you can use the Moto Mods to amp up your mobile experience.

Motorola has launched four Moto Mods with the new Moto Z2 Play smartphone.

The Moto TurboPower Pack mod adds an additional 3490mAh battery to the smartphone. It has double stereo speakers with 1,000mAh battery which offers up to 10 hours of playtime. It is priced at $49.99 and will be available in the US.

Like the Moto Z Play which came previous year, the Moto Z2 Play features the same 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display, but the front is now a bit more 2017, with a rounded fingerprint sensor in the front and centre of the bottom bezel.

The company also announced the Moto GamePad, a controller that attaches to the phone. The device will be available to buy in Brazil for R$ 1,999 ($616) for the 4GB variant.Moto Style Shell comes for $39.99 (Rs. 2575 approx.), JBL SoundBoost 2 comes for $79.99 (Rs. 5150 approx.), both Moto TurboPower Pack and Moto GamePad are priced at $79.99 (Rs. 5150 approx.).

SoundBoost 2 Mod: This Moto Mod is very similar to last year's SoundBoost. It is claimed that the Turbo Charging feature will charge the smartphone up to 50% in a time span of just 20 minutes. The SoundBoost 2, TurboPower Pack, and GamePad are priced at U.S. $79.99, while the wireless charging Style Shells are priced at USA $39.99. It comes with a kickstand and is splash proof.
