EA is promising "intense heist missions, high stakes vehicle battles, epic cop pursuits and jaw dropping set pieces", which suggests that Ghost Games is taking inspiration from the lovably bonkers world of the Fast and Furious franchise.

We've been hearing rumblings about the next entry in the iconic Need for Speed racing franchise for some time now, and today, publishers E3 have finally unveiled it with an exciting new trailer: meet Need for Speed Payback, out November 10. It will be the first Need for Speed title since 2015 - when EA attempted to reboot the franchise with Need for Speed - and the third in a row from Ghost Games, following that game and 2013's Need for Speed Rivals.

"Need for Speed returns this year to challenge what players expect from racing games", said Marcus Nilsson, Executive Producer.

In Need for Speed Payback, players will drive as three characters, all with a joint goal of taking down "The House" which EA describes as "a nefarious cartel that rules the city's casinos, criminals and cops".

Real-life vehicles are a hallmark of the Need for Speed series, and Need for Speed Payback will be no different.
