Cavaliers vs. Warriors, Game 2

Golden State owns a home-court edge in the NBA Finals and opened the best-of-seven championship series with a 113-91 home triumph, although James will have another chance to win at Oakland in game two Sunday.

Thompson converted an inbounds play into a hoop and Durant scored on a drive. So I'll be out there (for Game 2).

"Alright, so that answers you question", James said. The Warriors outscored the Cavs in all four quarters. As we saw in Game 1, Kevin Durant had numerous red carpet drives to the rim which resulted in uncontested dunks.

Expect a closer game tonight, but don't be surprised if Golden State wins big again, they're collective, confident and clicking when it counts.

After trailing by just three at halftime, the Cavaliers were still down just 86-82 after a layup by Irving with 5:41 left in the third period.

The drama began even before Sunday's game, when Kerr - who had not coached the Warriors' previous 11 games after the lingering symptoms from a botched back surgery nearly two years ago worsened two games into Golden State's first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers - strode into the interview room and declared he was coming back to the sideline in Game 2.

Speaking shortly before Game Two against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kerr said he was feeling somewhat better.

"What's our record now without me, like 800-12?" quipped Kerr, who missed the first 43 games during last season's record 73-win campaign. The Warriors won the 2015 NBA Finals, lost the 2016 NBA Finals to Cleveland, and looks poised to win the trilogy in the 2017 NBA Finals thanks to Durant. Golden State G Klay Thompson played in his 78th career playoff game, breaking a tie with SG Jeff Mullins for the most in Warriors franchise history.

Kevin Durant joined an already star-studded Warriors lineup from Oklahoma City at the end of last season to win National Basketball Association championships and the superstar forward showed he's prepared to get there as quickly as possible after dominating the Cavs in Game 1.

Brown was actually 11-0 in Kerr's absence, if you're keeping track, but the sentiment remained.
