"Rocky Top" is the University of Tennessee fight song.

The Predators outscored the Penguins 9-2 in the two games at Nashville after Pittsburgh picked up 5-3 and 4-1 wins at home. Not long after the song was played, Nashville scored again in their 4-1 victory that evened the best-of-seven series at 2-2.

The Bad - What are they feeding the staff at KDKA Pittsburgh... first their sports anchor throws Twitter shade at Smashville, then their weatherman shows how clueless he is about the history of the Penguins franchise by trolling Pred Nation... sheesh... Nashville was every bit the defending champ's equal in the opening two games only to be undone by a pair of dominant bursts by the Penguins.

His best may have been his stop on Chris Kunitz's breakaway at 3:29 of the second. If they were able to convert any of the other chances, we could be talking about a different result.

The first period ended up tied 1-1.

"I had some looks and I felt I just tried to shoot as hard as I could and it went it", Arvidsson, who last scored in Game 4 of the first round, said of his breakaway goal in the second period. A rare horn sounded mid-game and the Predators were awarded a goal, their game-winner to be precise. Malkin hasn't gone two games without a shot in the same postseason since his rookie year, while Washington did it to Crosby April 29 and May 1.

"That being said, because you guys have beat the drum on it enough, they're probably going to look to shoot the puck from all over tonight". There's no excuse making at this stage of the playoffs, a reality acknowledged by Nashville coach Peter Laviolette as he lauded the Predators' ability to overcome the absence of first-line center Ryan Johansen.

Sullivan said afterward that goal was preventable, especially when they're playing the game the right way, and they need to have better awareness.

Asked twice Tuesday if he planned on reevaluating his goaltending situation after Matt Murray allowed eight goals in Nashville, Sullivan stressed "we haven't lost games because of our goaltending". They got more, just not almost enough against Pekka Rinne and the Nashville Predators.

Both Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were held without a shot in Game 3 - the first time that's happened to the duo in the same playoff game and for just just the fifth time in Crosby's postseason career.

Just pay attention to which 'G, ' Nashville center Frederick Gaudreau or Pittsburgh left wing Jake Guentzel, scores to put him team in front. "We played two really good games".

"We played some good hockey in those first two games, just a couple little breakdowns and they jumped all over us and it was in the back of the net", Neal said. We can play him with offensive people. Honestly this is a tossup, much like this series is.

Bonino's left foot took the brunt force of a slap shot from Nashville's P.K. Subban during Game 2 in Pittsburgh and didn't play in Game 3.
