After seeing an initial £36m offer rebuffed by Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic, reports in Italy believe that the Red Devils are primed to up their offer to a staggering £44m, a bid they feel will be enough to tempt the Italian giants into selling.

Today, Man Utd have agreed terms with Ivan Perisic...

The Independent suggest the experienced Croatia worldwide is "desperate" and "excited" to play under Jose Mourinho next season.

Mourinho is determined to get the Premier League club's highest-priority business done by the start of July, and it is understood that the main negotiation point that needs to be sorted in both deals is the transfer fee.

Jose Mourinho is looking to strengthen his squad this summer ahead of United's return to the Champions League and Perisic has emerged as a key target in recent weeks.

If United can get the transfer completed I think the Croatian global will turn out to be an excellent signing as he's capable of playing anywhere across the attacking midfield positions so he'll give Mourinho plenty of options.

The alternative plan was to sell four players, but that takes a lot more effort and work than just the one, and we could quickly see them change their mind in the coming week or so if the likes of Marcelo Brozovic or Jonathan Biabiany don't attract any offers soon.
