There are conflicting reports in France regarding the future of Marco Verratti, with some suggesting the Italian midfielder has asked to leave PSG.

And they also lost the French League to Monaco after dominating for the past 4-years.

Barcelona are understood to want to move early to head off competition from other clubs.

Don Balon claim Barca have told Verratti to make his desire to leave PSG public in the media to force the French club to lower their asking price for the Italy worldwide.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, is understood to be standing firm, and not for the first time.

In this meeting, Di Campli confirmed his client's desire to quit Les Parisiens this summer. However, Verratti has already revealed his decision to leave his current employers this summer.

That feeling is mutual, with the 24-year-old previously lauding Conte as the best manager he has worked under.

The La Liga giants are not the only club interested in signing the PSG star.

Verratti has scored three goals and made seven assists this season, having his playing time cut short by recovery from a sports hernia.

However, Di Campli insists he is not speaking to the duo about Verratti as the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United remain favourites for his signature. This revelation will cause ears to prick up in Barcelona, while there is also thought to be interest from Bayern and Juventus.
