Ever heard of scientists lecturing us on how lucky we are to exist on a planet at the right time in the cosmic time frame? Abit here or there and we would have ceased to exist. Now, could someone please tell those scientists how true they are? What an absolutely mind-blowing time it is to be alive for us, football fans! The current transfer window is wreaking havocand the gurus are running out of ink to pen down the twists and turns happening in the football world. At one end, we see bids amounting to 100 million plus in Euros and Pounds being rejected while on the other side we have last minute signings worth a few million being confirmed. In one word, it’s nothing but mayhem.

Social media activities

The current period is not for the faint-hearted. Agreed. But in this exciting time, one can still notforget the Belgian stalwart, Eden Hazard. The star midfielder who plays for the English football club, Chelsea FC had picked up an ankle injury earlier in the summer while playing for the national team. But the fans have something to cheer as Eden Hazard posted his short training video on his official Instagram handle titled ‘The recovery continues… #cfc’. He can be seen taking short passes with the team trainer coupled with quick runs and jumps in the plush training field in Cobhamnear the iconic Stamford Bridge, Chelsea Football Club’s home ground. The star, who has a strong fan base of around 10 million followers on Instagram and close to 9 million followers on Facebook, had earlier posted pictures of his plastered ankle when his surgeries were about to begin. Since then, he has posted pictures with him sporting the traditional blue color jersey of the English club. Speaking of kits, you can lay your hands on some exciting wearables at exciting offers on Jacamo.

Transfer rumors

As the transfer window closes its gate in the final hours of August, Eden Hazard is all set to continue with the club which he had first joined back in the year 2012. However, the Belgian playmaker hasn’t received a renewed contract from Chelsea. He has around 3 years left in his current tenure at the English club. Hazard was earlier rumored to join the Spanish giants, Real Madrid. But with Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco, Gareth Bale and Kareem Benzema doing well in their attacking roles, the room looked already tight for him to break into. The transfer rumor then shifted to the other power-house, FC Barcelona, who was reported to have submitted a bid worth £100 million to fill the void created by the exit of superstar Neymar Jr. Once again, the bid subsided and the cash will now be heading somewhere else as the Brazilian attacker PhilppeCoutinho and Argentinian forward Angel Di Maria showing interest towards Barca’s call. Well, the rumor market is lit up and only a closing window will shut all mouths to put some rest to the fanatics’ hearts.

An internal difference of opinion?

Eden Hazard, who handles the central attack at Belgium, is being played as a wide winger by manager Antonio Conte for the defending Premier League Champions. Hazard had a terrible year at Chelsea FC in spite of the title win, as his final tally ended in single figures during the 16/17 season. Speaking to the Independent magazine, the forward had to say the following. “I like to play as a no 10. I think I have more freedom offensively. In Belgium, we have full-backs who run hard and create extra pace, which is good and that is why I like to play there.’ When asked about Conte’s decision on his playing position, Hazard let out his disappointment in a smart way saying,’ I don’t know if I will play there (central area) at Chelsea. You need to ask my manager! I play on the left-hand side and I try to do the best I can.Sometimes at Chelsea we don't play with system with a No. 10, too.’ Well, if a regular starter is facing a goal drought, it’s always better for the management and the player to reach a common term with regards to the playing position.

Return against Gibraltar and the final comeback date

Belgium had a field day against Gibraltar as they thrashed the European minnows by nine goals to nil with Eden Hazard scoring a simple goal right before the half time whistle. The win takes Belgium to the top of Group H in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers. Coming back to the club level, Chelsea face the unpredictable Leicester FC on Saturday and Hazard is all set to make his come back to the team. The 26 year old wants to regain his Player of The Year title which he had won 2 seasons ago but winning the league is what matters the most for him.
